In order to have that ‘children’s museum’ style experience with lots of informal STEM learning, student-led engagement is ideal. We want to foster STEM skills such as asking questions, solving problems, collaboration, and self-evaluation. For the best experience, we recommend following the guidelines:

• Age range: depends on the games chosen, anywhere from 3 and up

• Engagement time per game: 35 – 55 minutes, depending on student ages and chaperone to student ratios.

• Optimal group size at one time per game: depends on games chosen, ages, & chaperone ratios, generally anywhere from 10 – 20 actively engaged students

• Ideal Student/Staff (or Chaperone) ratio: from 6/1 – 3/1 depending on student ages
