Maker Studio Package

This is the maker’s dream set!

Bins and bins full of various materials including a standing cart and 18 table-top supply caddies sorted and labeled by purpose, plus 4 paper trays, all available for your unique creation. Do you want to use wheels, zip ties, cardboard tubes, straws, or elastic bands? So much to choose from!

Each delivery of Maker Studio will showcase different combinations of items for use. Experiment to see what holds things together; look in an Adhesives caddy or a Fasteners caddy. Need to change the shape of something? Look in an Alterations caddy. Don’t forget to personalize your creation by adding something from a Decor caddy.

The Maker Studio Package comes with enough materials for groups of about 15-25 at a time and a total of about 60 individuals per day. This of course depends on how much care your group gives to the materials and their creations. Being mindful of material use means more creative fun!

We care about the environment; we aim to not only discourage waste but also offer the opportunity to learn about what happens to things we throw away, how we are to sort them, and what we can do to reduce waste.

This set will come with 4 bins for ‘used’ materials: trash, recycling, compost, and repurpose. We want to get you thinking about what happens to what you throw away.

There will be posters and informational materials that educate your group on how to properly recycle, the life of various materials, and facts about waste streams.

So go ahead, enjoy creating, learn some STEM skills along the way including the design process and the properties of various materials. Then, clean-up while learning something about what happens to used classroom supplies.

Ultimately, we’d love for you to feel good about throwing away as little as possible and filling up our repurpose bin. You will leave with a better understanding of waste and recycling and how we can help the earth!

Add-on Challenge Piece

Create a materials design challenge with one of the crown pieces from our other game sets. Choose from Wooden Ramps (K’NEX Racing), Shaker Table (Foam Blocks with Earthquake Table), Air Blowers or Water Table Runs (Pipes & Pressure).

Use this additional piece in connection with the Maker Studio materials to create a focus for your building time.

For example, challenge participants to build a car that rolls down the Wooden Ramps or a create something that lifts a penny above the Air Blowers.
