STEM workshop? Yes, please! But, what is a STEM Workshop, and what do you get out of it?

First of all, with a Melon Seeds STEM Workshop, you will get to experiment with design and engineering principles in a room filled with all the supplies necessary to make your ideas come to life. That’s what we do: we supply the large variety of pieces and options with a super-sized game kit for a natural interest-driven learning experience. The workshop participants receive an open-ended design challenge and will work together to plan, test, revise, and finally summarize their work. 

Colorful Planning Board handouts will guide initial small group discussions, and a thought-provoking Presentation Board handout will help organize their experience in preparation for an end-of-workshop sharing session. The presentation aspect is a crucial part of the STEM journey! Being able to articulate to others what you have learned in a meaningful way requires practice. We organize that.

An optional Story Board is also available as a reinforcement tool for the STEM concepts uncovered in the given challenge. Let their imagination wander in creating story elements that go along with the group’s design experience.

All game pieces and accessories that we provide are inspected and spot cleaned, air-dried & stored for at least 24 hours before delivery.
